Loving cooking in my slow cooker with the cooler weather here. Who am I kidding… I love cooking in it anytime. But… I have been trying to find go to recipes that only have a few ingredients and I’ve found another combo that totally works. Well… according to my family anyway!  A while back I shared this easy 3 ingredient slow cooker recipe for fiesta chicken which is a big hit around here.  That recipe calls for chicken, salsa and cheddar soup. Knowing a can of condensed cheddar soup really ads a lot of flavor and moistness to chicken on the slow cooker, I wanted to find some other ingredients that could go with it to change up the flavors. Along came my idea for adding canned chiles.  The color looks a little funky admittedly but the flavor? All in. The chicken is ridiculously tender and tasty.

Slow Cooker Chile Chicken with only 3 ingredients.

  • 1 Can of Campbell's Condensed Cheddar Soup
  • Diced Green Chiles 8-10 oz (2 small cans)

  1. Add all three ingredients into your slow cooker. Stir periodically. Cook in your slow cooker for about 4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low. Voila!

  1. WHAT? Three ingredients? How much more of an invitation could it be extending to me to make it myself? I must, must, must. Sounds sooooooo good!

  2. 3 Ingredients is my kind of recipe!! I love when a recipe doesn’t take tons of ingredients and that sounds really good!!! I am gonna have to test this out!

  3. YUMMY! How did you get the chicken to stay in one piece, when I cook it in the slow cooker it falls apart? HA

On occasion it falls apart for me too… I think making sure not to leave it in there too long after it’s finished cooking may help. I used boneless chicken breasts also, that may help as opposed to smaller pieces I’d think ;) As an after thought.. do you cook yours with the skin on? That may also attribute to the break down of the chix!

  4. Yay! I love your 3 ingredient recipes. That’s about all that I can handle. LOL And definitely making great use of the slow cooker!!!

  5. Wow that is so easy! I need to use my slow cooker more often because these are great ideas and I really don’t like to cook most nights. I use chicken, a Ranch dressing packet (dry mix) and Italian dressing (bottle) and that is really good on tortillas or with chips.

  6. Wow! This looks good and I have all the ingredients! I bought the cheese soup quite some time ago for another recipe and never used it. Thanks!

  7. I love how easy this is to do and it looks so yummy!

  8. Sounds delicious. I love slow cooker recipes!

  9. Yum, that sounds amazing!

  10. I am definitely going to try this recipe out. I have all the ingredients.

  11. Dawn- I just saw this one! 3 ingredients! Okay, i know you just linked, but this one is 3 ingredients. Now I have dinner and dessert for Sunday! Please!! laura

  12. Saw a crock pot recipe that had chicken breast green beans and red potatoes. I share it on my time line but cant find it now. Was gone to make it tomorrow but now I cant find it
